Budapest is now would you believe second to Prague as one of the most popular stag weekend destinations. In 1989, the Hungarian communist party moved quietly aside as a tide of democracy swept across Eastern Europe. There has been a new spirit in the country, with Budapest being the main stimulus for change. Slowly regaining its position as the Paris of the east Budapest is a rare mix of old and new, with many reminders of its turbulent past. It is not a city which can be appreciated on a day trip. So linger for a few days, soak up the unique atmosphere and spirit of the people and enjoy!

Yes it sounds exciting and you will have a good time. However consider a few things before you ditch the UK for your stag weekend. Firstly the cost, the flights are not so cheap anymore. Take into account transfers to and from the airport as well and that price suddenly starts to increase. Delays with flights are another problem that can arise with budget airlines. This can be a problem if you only have a limited time available. Travel time is another issue – to and from the airport in the UK particularly if you only have a limited amount of time for the trip away. Finally if you intend it to be a big event you will find UK based stag weekends are more inclusive – more people will come for the reason outlined above.
